I have had zero help from my local Porsche garage and they cannot offer me any update on the system but have sourced some other locations which will sell me updated software. However, I have no wish to purchase new discs only to find they do not work. How can I identify idf it is a PCM version 1 or 2? Hi, I asked a question yesterday with regard to the Sat Nav in exactly the same car. I have just broken the UK map CD. It is my understanding that this is PCM 1.

The newer PCM 2 being an upgraded system. I do not think the new maps will work. But if they do then please advise me. Just contacted Porsche. Can only get a full set!!

If you press main and trip at the same time it will tell you what version you have. I had a similar query a few months back and someone posted up that this was how to do it and it is, which is nice.

Can’t help ref the above permission request but if you’d PM me the info I’d be grateful. Well I got my 8 discs delivered today from Romania. Hower I am currently in the US and my wife is not very technically minded so I cannot confirm if they work.

Just to let you know that the discs are working first class and as are advertised. They actually came from Bulgaria and not Romania as I originally thought.
