I second this. I am having exact same issues. I started experiencing these issues a few months ago. Also I store temporary files for Internet Explorer desktop on the RAM drive whereas the temporary files storage used by Internet Explorer are stored on a local drive as far as I understand both use different locations for temporary files. Current workaround : just make several attempts to download attachments again.

Issue with the workaround : on slow connections like those dial-up connections on subscriber lines or provided with a GSM modem downloading attachments seems to timeout. After that Mail app starts to think as if there are no attachments in this email rendering it impossible to re-download attachments! I have to make several attempts to download files when downloading in Internet Explorer when with Internet Explorer desktop downloads start immediately.

Moreover, downloads performed with Internet Explorer are handled very strangely. For example, if I download the PDF file: lib. If I click Resume , file gets downloaded.
